The Methodist Youth Fellowship (MYF) / Youth Ministry is the organised youth ministry of each local church, established under the guidance of the Local Church Executive Committee. It is a vibrant community of young people and leaders journeying together in faith, service, and friendship.

The objectives of the MYF are to:

  • Lead youth to a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
  • Encourage Christian fellowship and mutual care among members.
  • Deepen understanding of the Christian faith through study of Scripture and the teachings of the Church.
  • Promote participation in the life and mission of the Church through worship, witness, and service.
  • Develop leadership and a sense of responsibility in young people as they grow in maturity and discipleship.
Guided by these goals, the ETAC Board of Youth Ministry (BYM) carries out its work through four main focuses: enhancing fellowship among youths, encouraging deeper engagement with God’s Word, establishing structures and policies for youth work, and equipping young leaders to serve faithfully. These directions shape every programme and initiative by the Board of Youth Ministries.
The BYM organises events and gatherings that connect, inspire, and grow our young people. The Youth Worship Evenings are one such highlight. A time to gather as one in Christ for worship and fellowship. From 2026, the Youth worship Evening will be held 4 times a year. The Youth Leaders Fellowship is another event that brings young leaders together for a time of fellowship and prayer. This is an annual event, taking place on the second Saturday of February each year.
Looking ahead, the ETAC Youth Camp in July 2026 will be a milestone event — a time for discipleship, unity, and personal encounter with God. The BYM also continues to strengthen the foundations of youth ministry by developing clear frameworks for age groups and progression, clarifying MYF and Youth Coordinator roles.
Pray for our youths to grow in faith and unity. Pray for our leaders and pastors as they guide the next generation with wisdom and love. With God’s help, we strive to nurture a generation ready to live boldly for Christ and carry His light into every part of life.
